SHERWOOD, Joyce A., 78, of Mechanicsville, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Joyce worked as an accountant for area businesses and she loved word puzzles, logic, Sudoku, putting puzzles together, and playing games on her tablet. Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Harold Sherwood; mother, Bertha Bauman; and her brother, Thomas Williams. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted niece, Marianne Williams; brother, Robert Sherwood (Joyce); many great nieces and nephews; and her devoted friends Wilnet Jones and Florence Jackson. Joyce’s family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231 where funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park.
