Joseph F. Baker

Joseph F. Baker, 74, of Quinton passed away December 13, 2013. Joe is survived by his wife of 50 years, Melissa Baker; daughters, Kim French (Bryan) and Kelly O’Donnell (Gregg); grandchildren, Austin French, Allison French, and Sophie O’Donnell; sister, Agnes Virden and countless devoted friends and family members. He was a former teacher and basketball coach at Hermitage High School, where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. He had previously played basketball at Hazard High School in Kentucky and Middle Tennessee State University. He is a member of both of these schools Hall of Fame. He was an avid golfer and sportsman. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 16, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23231, where a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 2:00p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at P.O.
