John “Buddy” Fowler, age 85, passed away peacefully at home on June 21, 2017 in the loving care of his family. He was born, raised and resided in Richmond VA. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Upon returning home he studied accounting and worked as office manager for many years at a local lumber company. He was active in the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Church. Buddy was tremendously loyal to his family and cared for his parents, several aunts and uncles, and members of his community in their times of need.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Hilda Fowler; four children, Lori Fowler Sterling of Garland TX, Jay Fowler, Colleen Fracker and Rusty Fracker all from Richmond Virginia. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service and interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Saturday, July 1st at 11:00 AM.
A casual celebration of Buddy’s life will be held at Jay and Bridgette Fowler’s residence immediately following the interment. Friends and family are invited to come by and share stories.
