Joan Marie Phifer

Joan Marie Phifer, age 70, of Richmond, Virginia passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022. Joan was born February 1, 1952, to the late Earl, Jr. and Rosalene (Rose) Phifer. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Fryling; son, Michael Carlton; long time partner, David; sister, Debbie Phifer; brother, Bobby Phifer; nine Grandkids, Steven, Ashley, Kelsey, Alex, Nicole, Luc, Malik, Tate, & Piper; four Great Grandkids, Graham, Austin, Gracie, & Emmett.

Joan enjoyed spending time with her family & friends, being part of the skating world and decorating outfits for her kids & others. She was also on many Bowling teams over the years. She ran and worked in her Nascar collectible shop, enjoyed reading books, listening to music and seeing bands.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woody Funeral Home-Parham, 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Westhampton Memorial & Cremation Park, 10000 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23238.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society in Joan Phifer's memory.
