It was our lucky day when Jim met Shirley.   I have so many fun memories of times shared with the family.  What do I remember?  Jim cutting coupons, mowing 
the lawn with a beer, and never ever arguing with Shirley, regardless of the situation.   Thank you Tammy for bringing him to see us before he moved to Virginia. Thank you Jim for sharing your heart and love with Tom and Patty. Tv

Jim, JJ as we called him, was one of a kind. The very first week Joe and I moved in to our home in Cicero, JJ introduced himself and told us if we needed anything, he was just next door. As it turns out, he meant that completely. Over the years we had with JJ, we built things, broke things, deconstructed and reconstructed things. We shared meals, beers (too many beers) and laughed MUCH. JJ was the type of person you wanted to live next door to. He was always aware of the neighborhood happenings and made sure that we were too. JJ was our favorite part of living where we do. He was more than just a neighbor and we have never known anyone like him. As I said, one of a kind!

 You went to a more peaceful place on my 40th birthday and we will be having cake on the 25th for yours. (Your 39th of course) We will be wishing you a happy birthday in the heavens from now on JJ. You made a difference in our lives✨

My deepest sympathy for the loss of your dad.  I will always remember Jim as a kind and gentle man. He brought much love to my Aunt Shirley and was a welcome addition to the family.

Dad, thanks for being a wonderful father and teaching me to be the man I've become.

At your side you taught me how to work on cars - oil changes, brake jobs, even rebuild a carburetor. You taught me how it's possible to fix just about anything. As a young child you took me to work where I loved to watch those IBM machines sort cards. You got me my first jobs, mowing that 10 acres at Allis Chalmers, doing inventory there, cutting down trees for firewood, and unloading those Emery tractor trailers full of packages in the middle of the night.

You introduced me to computers and electronics and to respect electricity (here, hold this wire!...) from which I made a career. We shared a passion for reading, old trucks and building things.

When we were young you worked multiple jobs to provide for our family and although we were by no means wealthy, you made sure we always had enough. You took care of our mom when she was ill, and did the same for our stepmom. During those trying times when they were sick, you demonstrated a love, patience and support no husband should have to endure once, much less twice.

You showed your kids how to persevere in the face adversity, to keep a positive attitude, and that hard work is always worth the effort.

But most of all, you taught me through example how to be a loving father and provider. I will miss you dearly but remember you always in my heart.

Thanks Jim for welcoming me into the family almost 10 years ago. More importantly, I want to thank you for taking my David into you heart when you met Laura, his Mom. He was only 4 years old and you proved to be a wonderful addition to his life. No one could have asked for a better person to step in. You’ve always been there for David in good times and bad. You’ve given him the strength to be able to handle life’s issues  the best way possible.   Everyone in the family feels there’s a hole missing in their heart with you being gone. 
We will love and miss you all the rest of our days.

My mother Shirley Eggleston had a hard life.  She buried her 23 year old son, my brother, in1970. My father was an emotional abusive person who died in 1977. She struggled to put food on the table and send me to college. Fast forward  about 10 years. I came home from Boston to help Mom for the annual Turkey Supper at the Methodist Church.  On the way home , she told me she had a date that night. Mom said when the gentleman shows up invite him in... his name is Jim. My Mom was a feisty lady and was independent since my Dad died. This dude, Jim, shows up in a jacket, tie and a big bouquet of flowers. I found out later they were leftovers from his Purolator truck.  !  Thanks P!  Didn’t see Jimmy in a tie until They married. Jimmy treated my Mom liked a Queen and me like a son. Though they only had a short time together, they were the happiest  15 years of her life. She told me what did I ever do to deserve such a wonderful person. He was faithful until the end. Jimmy , you will always have a special place in my heart and for the love and respect you gave Mom.  I will miss you Jimmy, my dad, and our times at Cross Lake. You were the Dad, that you didn’t have to be. Love ya, Tommy E

What Dad Means to me

As a child he came in to my life and was a father I didn’t have.

As I grew up he gave me the skills I would need to make it in this crazy world.

He taught me to respect others and look for the good in everyone and everything.

Whenever I was hurt or my name was drug through the dirt he would always say son don’t worry about the things you can’t change be thankful for the days ahead.

He was the best husband to our mom and loved her to the end!

He raised my sister, brother and me with so much pride so we could be all we could be.

Now we must carry on without him because he has gone home with God, our mother and the rest of the family who have passed before. 

I say with great pride I was so blessed to have him as a father and he will really be missed.

I can only hope I can be half the man he didn’t have to be!

We have enjoyed many visits with Jim Frazer through the more than twenty years that he has been our daughter's father-in-law.
He has always been knowledgeable on many subjects as well as personable and congenial.

He will be missed.
