James Martin Boggs

BOGGS, James Martin, born May 24, 1931 in Mullens, WV to Andrew M & Mabel B (James) Boggs. Survivors include his wife, Ruby J and two sons, Timothy A & Mark S Boggs, of Mechanicsville; six grandchildren: Nicole, Caytlyn, Lia, Christina, Taylor, & Abigail; a brother, Larry A Boggs; a sister-in-law, Patsy J Boggs; numerous nieces & nephews. He had four predeceased siblings: Kathleen V Neely, Betty J Cook, Bradley Boggs & Marvin J Boggs.

James was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle. He died peacefully in his sleep on February 9 at this home. He was a good and decent man who will be missed. He believed in the Good News of Jesus Christ and treated others as he wanted to be treated.

A memorial service will be held at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2pm with visitation from 12:30 to 2pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made in James’s memory to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Condolences may be offered at woodyfuneralhomeparham.com.
