Henry Ellis Edwards, 74, of Henrico, Va., passed away October 3, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Melissa Edwards and 10 siblings. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris Jean Burnette Edwards; children, Rebecca L. Edwards, Matthew B. Edwards and wife, Diane, Gregory H. Edwards and wife, Brenda; four grandchildren, Annabel Hinds, Joshua H., Gregory H. Jr. and Eva Grace Edwards; many devoted nieces, nephews and special fishing and metal detecting buddies. Ellis retired after 50 years as a diesel mechanic. He loved to tend to his garden, was an avid NASCAR fan and loved fishing and metal detecting.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., and where a funeral service will be Tuesday, October 7, at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
