Gladys grew up on the Eastern Shore and was drawn to the water. She loved vacationing to the beach where she loved collecting seashells, enjoyed fishing and eating all types of seafood. She also was an avid doll collector with an assortment of over 35 dolls.
She was a devoted wife of 48 years to Caroyl T. Winn, Sr. Gladys and C.T. enjoyed sharing many memorable summers together tending their garden and canning fruits and vegetables.
Gladys will be dearly missed by all who have been touched by her warmth and tenderness.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231 where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
