Frederick J. Wood

Frederick John Wood, 88 of Richmond. Va passed away on Friday, January 13. He was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church, served in the Army 82nd Air Borne Division Paratroopers during Korean War. Retired from the City of Richmond Fire Department and retired from the Federal Reserve Bank And a member of the Oilville Va Airplane Club. He is predeceased by his wife Shirley Wood, daughter Debra Wood and brothers James Wood(Armstrong), Clyde J Wood. Survived by son Kenneth J Wood(Glenda), daughter Sherry M Siewert(Dave). Grand children Rebecca Paige Robbins(Jody),Christopher A Spain(Christy), Michelle Poisson,Stephanie Badran(Jordan), Kenneth John Wood. Many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm, Friday, January 20 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, where a funeral service will be held 2 pm, Saturday, January 21. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
