Frances Newman Young, 74, of Mechanicsville, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Malvern E. Young, Jr.; son, Malvern E. Young, III (Susan D.); grandson, Grayson T. Young; nieces and nephews, Pam Thomas, Bill Ervin, Bob Ervin, Jim Ervin, Steve & Judy Young, and Connie Perkinson. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, Va. 23231. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 2013 at New Bridge Baptist Church, 5701 Elko Rd., Sandston, Va. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
