Elizabeth Zimmer Hall

Elizabeth Zimmer Hall "Bette," 89, passed quietly into the arms of God on Thursday, September 12, 2013. Preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Charles David Hall, she is survived by their two children: daughter, Donna Hall Rubis and husband, Dr. E. James Rubis; and son, Elder Daniel Robert Hall and wife, Dr. Ann Lee Hall. Also surviving are grandchildren, David I. Hall (Liza), Micah S. Hall (James), and Kathryn Tyler Rubis. In addition, their first great- grandchild will join the family in a few short months (Mom would have loved the arrival). A resident of Beth Sholom Home for several years, she also managed to establish her "second family" (of caregivers) while there, and she will be truly missed by both families. For Bette, family, home, and animals gave full meaning to her life. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where a funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Interment in Westhampton Memorial Park. All of us have been blessed by being part of her family.
