She was preceded in death by her mother, Marguerite Leslie Wilkes.
She retired after 39 years of service at the Defense Supply Center of Richmond, and 3 years at United Airlines.
She was a former president of the Bellwood Women’s Club and she loved to play Mah-Jongg, travelling, George Strait and was an elk enthusiast.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Lee Root (Adam); Erin Colleen Lee Scott (Dominic), Jessica Renee Lee; grandchildren, Roland Scott, Walker Scott, Aidan Chesser, Brooke Root; and sisters, Katherine Arthur and Darlene Cochran.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm, Saturday, May 27 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave where a Funeral Service will be held 1 pm, Sunday, May 28.
