Elaine will be greatly missed by many wonderful friends, especially Bette Glickman and Fred Rosignol. Elaine’s home was always a welcome and loving one, and when her children were grown, she brought joy to others for many years as a section leader for the Richmond, Va. chapter of Sweet Adelines. In her later years, she continued to give of herself by performing her “Songs of Love” program on numerous occasions for the residents of assisted living centers throughout the Richmond and Charlottesville areas.
Elaine enjoyed camping with her family, and together with her late husband, Jim, traveled the world. She also enjoyed Bridge and keeping up with national and world events, but most of all, she cherished time with her family and visits with friends. Elaine's family would like to extend special thanks and appreciation to the staff of Spring Arbor of Richmond for the compassionate and loving care of their mother during her residency and especially during her final days.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 15, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. Private graveside service and burial. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Richmond Chapter, 4600 Cox Rd., Suite 130, Glen Allen, Va. 23060 or to an organization of your choice.
