Mr. Edward Patterson Snyder

72, of Henrico, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016. Eddie was a devoted worker for 50 years for IUOE and retired from W.O. Grubb, where he was a crane operator. He was a member of East End Assembly of God. Eddie served as an E-4 in the Navy during the Vietnam War where he was a Medic, loved gardening, UVA athletics, and enjoyed a good political debate. Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey H. and Juanita Snyder. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna N. Snyder; children, Dwayne, Scott and Michelle Snyder; grandchildren, Steven, Dwayne Jr., and Kerstin; great-grandchildren, Jason, Dylan and Dwayne III; brother, Bobby Snyder; his beloved dog, Chrissy; and a host of extended family members. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 16, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home, Laburnum. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at 12 noon, in the Chapel of Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum.
