Edward Joseph Moss, Sr.

MOSS, Edward Joseph Sr., 90, of Richmond, Va., passed away January 23, 2017. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Martha Skinner Moss; his wife, Mary L. Moss; son, Edward J. Moss; siblings, Joyce M. Brown and Herbert Moss. He is survived by his children, Charlotte Moss, Cathy Dattel, Martha C. Moss and Jeffrey A. Moss; siblings, Evelyn M. Lewis, Frederick “Buck” Moss and Barbara M. Werner; and five grandchildren, Edward, Charlotte, Margaret, Anderson and Levi Moss. He served his country in the United States Navy in WWII as a signal flagger and in the United States Army as a contractor until retirement. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2017, at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229. Graveside service will follow at 12 noon at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1400 S. Randolph St., Richmond, Va. 23220.
