Edith Underwood O’Neal, 102, of Henrico, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, John H. O’Neal; and sisters, Thelma Smith and Hazel Anderson. Edith was an active charter member of Village Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her son, J. Randall O’Neal and wife Linda; three grandchildren, Shaun O’Neal and wife Carlei, of Frederick, MD, Brian O’Neal and wife Cara Jean, of Glen Allen, VA, and Allison McFarlin, of Las Vegas, NV; and five great-grandchildren, Ryan, Turner, Patrick, Ashton and Reid. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, August 18 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue Richmond, Va 23231, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, August 19 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
