Doris Louise Tibbs

Doris Louise Tibbs, 98, of Quinton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 24, 2024. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Albert F. “Bill” Tibbs, and her beloved grandson, Michael T. Walsh.

She was a member of the Ladies of the Elks and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She loved to dance with her husband Bill, and they loved to vacation on cruise ships.

She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Walsh (Tom), Vicki L. Tibbs, and Bonnie C. Ferrell (Jim); grandchildren, Kristen Brown (Stephen), Stephanie See, Amy Jortland (Brett), William Hummel (Katie) and Laura Hummel; and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, August 29 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Judes.
