Donna and I were in choir together at Montrose Baptist (Carlisle) when we were children.  After our choir practice finished, we would stay in the Fellowship Hall and do our lessons or talk while Mr. & Mrs. Nelson and my grandparents, John & Nora Minter were in choir practice.  That was a long time ago, but I remember it like yesterday.

May you find comfort in the many special memories of Donna.  My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I met Ms Donna last year as I was studying to become a Certified Nurse Aide and she changed my life forever.  It was her quick wit that kept me laughing but it was her strength that impacted me most.  This woman was amazing! We talked about her life as a makeup artist.  We talked about my love for motorcycles.  Or we didn’t talk at all!  She never let me leave with telling me to be careful and “after while crocodile.” I got the chance to thank her for making me a better human but words would never be enough to truly articulate how much she meant to me.

Her death was preceded by her parents, Eunice and Ike B. Nelson Sr. Surviving her death are Dorothy and Ike B. Nelson Jr.; two nieces, two nephews and their families.
