COVER, David Crawford, 84, of Highland Springs, passed away December 1, 2016. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was a teacher for Henrico County for 33 years. David was a black belt in karate, an avid Redskins fan, and a great lover of cats. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcellus and Dorothy Cover; and children, Norma Breeden and Anthony “Tony” Cover. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Floy L. Cover; son, Terence David Cover (Sheila); grandchildren, Katie Cover Hamner (Chris), Dominick Cover, David A. Cover (Amanda), and Sarah E. Cover; and great granddaughter, Reese Hamner. Visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home on Laburnum on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Washington Memorial Park on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Richmond SPCA, 2519 Hermitage Rd, Richmond, VA 23220.
