Cody and Liam Slayton

Cody Samuel and Liam Cole Slayton, ages 8 and 4, of Midlothian, Virginia, brotherly bonded as in life, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 9, 2021. Cody was born December 11, 2012 and Liam on August 17, 2016 to their parents, Kristen and Hunter Slayton.

Cody and Liam's love for one another was unbreakable. Anyone who knew them, knew that they were always together and Cody enjoyed taking care of his little brother, Liam. Together, they both loved being at the beach and playing in the sand and water. Liam acted like a fish and loved the feeling of being weightless in the water. Cody was all boy and loved climbing, jumping, running, riding his bike and enjoying the outdoors. Liam was no different and loved being on the move and spending time with his brother. Liam wanted to play with all the light up toys, flip through the pages of his favorite farm animal books while listening to "Old McDonald had a Farm". Cody and Liam attended Bon Air Elementary school. Their infectious smiles, laughter and warm spirits will be greatly missed by all who knew them.

They leave to cherish their memory their loving parents, Kristen and Samuel Slayton; step-mother, Michal Slayton; half-sister, Kinsley Slayton; maternal grandparents, Marty and Cheryl McLain; paternal grandparents, Samuel and Erin Slayton; honorary grandmother, Thelma Lane; and many aunts, uncles and cousins that love them dearly.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Woody Funeral Home-Parham, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA 23229. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on September 11, 2021 at Clover Hill Church.
