Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Luck, Sr., and mother, Helen Breedlove Luck.
He was a truck driver for Warren Transport Inc. for over 30 years and member of Richmond East Moose Lodge. Charlie was jokester who loved to talk and laugh with everyone he met. He enjoyed dancing, country music, and keeping up with friends on social media. Charlie had a soft spot for animals of all kinds, but especially dogs and cats. Some of his most adored four-legged friends include: Lucky, Noel, Gator, Jangles, Dobie, Torti, and Precious. Charlie’s love of animals is outshined only by his love of the Green Bay Packers – a true Cheesehead at heart.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Phyllis L. Mendenhall, and husband, John; niece, Lisa Brown-Sindlinger; and dear friends, Peggy Vance, and son, Josh; Margie Moreno-Escalera, and son, Rick.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021 in Riverview Cemetery, 1401 S. Randolph St., Richmond, VA 23220.
