Cecil William Goodman

GOODMAN, Cecil William, 68, of Richmond, reached out for our Lord's hand on Friday, May 13, 2011. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam era. He retired from Verizon with 32 years of service. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Stacia Goodman. He is survived by his wife, Ginger; and children, Cabell Goodman (Dawndee), Chadwick Goodman (Paul), Travis Puffenbarger (Becca), Wade Puffenbarger (Brianna), Julia Lovett (James), Starla Crossley (Mark), and Marie Lynch. He has 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. on Tuesday, May 17 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. He was a faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church, where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 11 a.m., 6818 W. Grace St. Richmond, Va. Interment will be private. Contributions in lieu of flowers, can be made to Christ United Methodist Church Choir in his memory.
