Catherine Margaret Bandy, “Granny”, 70, of New Kent, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 31, 2013. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, John H. Bandy, Jr.; children, Debbie Holmes, Sarah McCavanagh, John H. Bandy III, Jerry W. Bandy, Donna Thomas, Angie Bandy, Tim Bandy, and Joe Bandy; brothers, Russell Jenkins, Red Jenkins, and Carl Jenkins; sister, Barbara Regan; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bandy was a retired school bus driver for New Kent County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue Richmond, Va 23231. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3400 Courthouse Rd., Chesterfield, VA.
