Carolyn North Dornblaser Jett, 73, rejoined her Lord and the all loving light May 30th, 2018 in the comfort of her home and in the arms of her beloved friend and caregiver. Carolyn was born September 26, 1944 the lively daughter of Katherine and John Dornblaser in Camden, AR. A 1966 graduate of Millsaps College in Jackson, MS, Carolyn was an accomplished pianist, first chair oboe in the Arkansas All State band, gifted writer and vocalist, jingle singer at Pepper Tanner Studios for popular radio and television commercials and could do The Twist like no other as an American Bandstand winner. Carolyn was a retired medical transcriptionist for Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital after 30 years of devoted service. Carolyn is survived by her son Michael Stuart Holmes 49, daughter Lesli Paige Holmes 42, step daughter Amy Christine Jett Hayden 41, brother John Stuart Dornblaser 76, supportive ex-husband of 17 years Walter Michael Holmes 75 and two tenacious granddaughters Nadia Rene Holmes-Martinez 12 and Charlotte Ellery Wysong-Holmes 4. The service will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 at Woody’s Funeral Home Parham Rd with visitation being held one hour before. We will promise to remember the iconic beauties of life that you instilled deep within our hearts, Mom. We will love through music and laughter and carry on your legacy with fervor as you raised us to see the world with awe and forgiveness, jest and intensity. Be free of the earthly mind and body that could not withstand the power of your spirit. Be free, song bird and rest knowing that you left the world a better place. Fly away beautiful butterfly, we love you so very much.
