Born during the Great Depression on August 4,1932, Beverly grew up with her seven siblings in the Highland Park area of Richmond, Virginia. Beverly was a compassionate, loyal, gentle soul. She devoted her life to Jesus and was an active member of Second Baptist Church. She loved cooking, reading, playing tennis, any and all card games, dancing, singing, and family vacations - where she rode the waves until she was 83 years old. Although she came from nothing, she ended up with everything she wanted; she worked hard and poured her whole heart into raising a big family who adored her in every way. If you knew her, you loved her. Her positive attitude and genuine love for life were incredibly contagious, and she created lifelong friendships with everyone she met. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely, and her legacy will be carried on by them for generations. The ones who loved her most have promised to honor her life motto now more than ever: “Be Kind and Nice”.
