Barbara Mitchell Westman

Barbara M. Westman, 84, of Henrico, entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 28, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Goodwin Mitchell and Virginia Rowe; siblings, Thomas Mitchell, Goodwin “Dougie” Mitchell; Virginia Fair; and dear son-in-law, Claude M. Broome. Barbara worked for over 50 years as an office manager for Patrick Buick. She was an avid birder, purveyor of flowers, and collector of cookbooks. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Troy L. Westman (Traci), Faith M. Broome; grandchildren, Barbara Ellie Broome, Jessie Broome, Tyler L. Westman, Donovan T. Westman; sister, Elsie Ferguson; sister-in-law, Jackie Holloway; nephews, Richard (Shannon), Butch McNamee (Susan), Doug Mitchell (Becky); and great-nephew, Calvin. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church, 2010 Carlisle Ave., Richmond, VA 23231.
