She was born March 9, 1936 in Richmond, VA. Barbara loved spending time with family in Virginia Beach, gardening, watching for cardinals, over decorating for every holiday, teaching Sunday School for many years, and telling everyone about Jesus.
She loved her country and the American flag. Barbara enjoyed being a member of the women’s garden club, always having freshly cut flowers on the kitchen table, drinking tea from her mason jar, and being the home where her children, grandchildren, and their friends loved to gather. Her favorite saying was “home again, home again, jiggety jog”, which drove us crazy, but we now dearly miss.
She was a member of Richmond’s First Baptist Church Monument Ave. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Garden in Richmond, VA at a later time.
A funeral service for Barbara will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024, 12:00 PM at Woody Funeral Home- Parham, 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229.The family will be greeting visitors from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service.
