Ann Murray Walthall

Ann Murray, of Richmond, Va., went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2013. She was born October 26, 1922 in Richmond, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Bruce C. Walthall Sr. Ann is survived by her sons, Bruce C. Walthall Jr. (Margie) of Mechanicsville, Va. and Gordon W. Walthall of Richmond. She also leaves behind two wonderful grandchildren, Christopher "Corey" Walthall of Mechanicsville, Va. and Kristen Walthall Taylor (Matthew) of Glen Allen, Va.; as well as very close friends and relatives from her long and joyful life. She took great pride in her volunteer work over the years with the Forest View Rescue Squad Women's Auxiliary, the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. She had a sincere and lasting love for fishing, being around boats and the water, and living in Deltaville, Va. for many years before moving back to Richmond in 2003. The family also wishes to thank Ann's caregiver, Sharon Rogers, for all of her loving care and dedication during recent months. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond.
