Amel Shaban Shelton, went to her heavenly home on March 22nd, 2025 at the age of 48. She was a radiant soul, a cherished daughter, a devoted mother, a loving sister, a nurturing aunt and a treasured friend.
She possessed an unshakable strength and a kindness that knew no limits. She made everyone feel seen, heard, and loved, always offering a contagious laugh that could brighten any room.
Amel is survived by her four children, Brianna, Darnell, Cassidy, and Isaiah, who will carry her love and lessons forward in their own lives. Her love for them was immeasurable. It shone through in every moment she spent with them. Her legacy will live on in the strength and love they carry forward.
She was a cherished daughter, sister, and aunt—a constant source of love in the lives of her parents, Izzat and Fadwa, and her siblings, Diana, Nora, Hillme, and Eman. Though her presence is deeply missed, there is comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her beloved sister, Leena, watching over all of us with endless love from above.
The deep and unconditional love she had for her nephew, Brandon, and her nieces, Nadine and Celina, was a beautiful and unwavering force. Her love was a constant, a source of comfort and light that will forever live on in their hearts, a testament to the bond they shared.
Amel touched the lives of so many, not only through her kindness and generosity but through the way she loved—fiercely, deeply, and without hesitation. Her love was a gift to all who knew her, and though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will live on in the stories we share, the lessons she taught, and the love she left behind.
We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating her beautiful life on March 31st, 2025 (2pm) at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. As we gather to honor her, let us not only grieve but also remember the joy she brought, the love she gave, and the light she left in each of our hearts.
Rest peacefully, dearest Amel. Your love will forever be a guiding light and source of happiness.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
