Alvin Louis Winn

Alvin Louis Winn, 85, of Dunnsville, VA, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021. He served in the U. S. Navy on the U. S. S. Wilson. He worked for Electrical Equipment Company as an electric motor repairman and was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church in Dunnsville, VA.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Winn and father, Harrison “Mike” Winn and is survived by his wife, Winifred S. “Nell” Winn; children, Raymond (Sharon), Richard, Timothy (Marlene), Kim (Wilbur) and Samuel (Nina); 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 16, from 11 to 12 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231, where services will immediately follow at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
