Alvin S. Jones, Sr., 87, passed away May 8, 2016. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Jones Leith; father, Byrd Jones; brother, Harold Jones; and sister, Nancy Lynch. Alvin is survived by his wife, Artie Jones; son, Alvin "Smitty" Jones Jr.; stepson, Douglas Burnett (Stacey); stepdaughter, Leatha Dickerson (Bill); numerous grand and great-grandchildren; stepfather, Howard Leith; brothers, Lonnie Jones (Dawn), Clyde Jones (Dorea), Richard Jones (Lynn); sisters, Frances Murray (Gus) and Mary Yordy (Gary).
