Adele Williams

WILLIAMS, Adele, age 95, of Mechanicsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 1, 2018. She was a lifetime member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Adele was an over-fifty-year member of Montrose #176 Order of the Eastern Star. She spent her entire working career in the insurance industry. The river cottage that she and her husband, Orville, built over 60 years ago was their home away from home. Many happy times were shared there with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Orville Williams. Adele is survived by two sons, Ed Williams (Peggy) and Charles Williams (Kathi); four grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer), Clayton (Amanda), and Travis Williams, and Erin Kelly (Sam); six great-grandchildren, Carter, Henry, Caleb, Parker, Cameron, and Ellie; and her faithful dog, Teddy. The family is grateful to the staffs of both Heritage Green Assisted Living and At Home Care / Hospice for the compassionate care given to Miss Adele these past 7 months. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 8, from 6pm to 8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va., 23231. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 9, at 12pm at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr., Sandston, Va., 23150.
