William Edward Johnson

SFC, William E. Johnson proudly served his country from 1948-1968 in the United States Army and was in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the 26th Infantry Regiment in Germany and part of the U.S. Army Boxing Team, as well as the 101st Airborne Division. After retiring from the U.S. Army, he worked for the United States Postal Service for 16 yrs. He was a proud member of the Disabled American Veterans Association.

William is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bulah Johnson; daughter, Diane Talley; daughter, Nancy Meyer and her husband Gary; daughter, Brenda Willis; grandchildren, Amanda Almanza and her husband Luis; Jason Meyer and his wife Jeannie; Tiffany Jackson; great-grandchildren, Zachery, Victoria, Braydon, Marissa, Carter, Allison, Katelyn and Selah.

William’s family will receive visitors between 6:00p.m and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Sparkman Richardson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Sparkman Richardson Funeral Home, followed by interment at Restland Cemetery.
