Tracy Allen Hoover

She moved with her family to Dallas in 1964 where she attended Spring Valley Elementary, Northwood Junior High, and Richardson High School. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education.

Tracy was a member of St. Barnabas Presbyterian Church where she met and married Gary Michael Hoover on August 3, 1985. She began her career as a teacher at RISD’s Richland Elementary, retiring to raise their two children Kyle and Kellie.

Tracy was a vital part of young lives as a Youth Fellowship Sponsor at St. Barnabas for over 30 years. She was committed to garage sales, evangelism, youth trips, and many other church programs. Tracy had a zest for life that was infectious. Her unconditional love and support for people knew no bounds.

Tracy was preceded in death by her parents Gerald Davenport and Imogene (Allen) Davenport. She is survived by her husband Gary; son Kyle and daughter Kellie; sister Susan Hubbard (Lee); parents-in-law Wayne and Rae Hoover.

There will be a celebration of Tracy’s life on Friday, February 16 at 1:00 pm at St. Barnabas Presbyterian Church, 1220 W. Belt Line Rd., Richardson, TX 75080. A reception will be held at the church immediately following the service.
