The oldest of four, Shirley Jean was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Duncan (Betty) of Fayetteville, Georgia; she is survived by one brother, Claude Duncan (Patricia) of Dallas, Texas and one sister, Kay Steed, also of Dallas. Seven nieces and nephews also survive.
Shirley Jean attended business school in Memphis, Tennessee; she then attended Kansas City Bible College and worked with the Navigators until she came to Dallas where she met her husband of 50 years, Harry Traywick. He survives, as does one son, John Bradley Traywick, who resides on Kauai, Hawaii with wife Rachael.
Shirley Jean loved people and did not hesitate to tell them she loved them. On July 31, 2012 she went to be with The One whom she loved the most--The Lord Jesus Christ--who came to give us eternal life.
