Mallory Hawley, loving daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, and wife, age 33, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, after a courageous 10-month battle with cancer. She became ill with COVID and fought it until the very end. Mallory died peacefully surrounded by her mother Mary, her Aunt Cynthia, and her husband Scott.
Mallory was born in Richardson, Texas on July 26, 1990. She attended Greenwood Hills Elementary, and Richardson North Junior High, and graduated from JJ Pearce High School in 2008. Mallory attended Richland College and received an associate degree in Teaching, early childhood through sixth grade (EC-6). Mallory grew into a compassionate, kind, and determined young woman. She purchased her first home in Royse City, with an acre of land, where she planned to start her garden, and eventually settle down.
She married Scott Sewell in London, England on July 25, 2023.
Mallory had a passion for crocheting, gaming, binge-watching shows, cooking, gardening, watching movies, listening to music, spending time with family, friends, and her puppy dog, Maryn.
Mallory is survived by her mother Mary, and her siblings Mason and Kira. She is also survived by her Aunt Cynthia, her uncles David and Danny, her grandparents Dave and Terri, her father Mark, her aunt Anne, and her grandparents Carol and Richard. Mallory is also survived by her husband Scott, many extended family members, and close friends.
As Mallory faced unimaginable challenges in her short lifetime, she bravely persevered and never lost her sense of humor or her lust for life. Mallory will be remembered as a warm and loving individual, who, when she was in your corner, you had no doubt she would be there, no matter what.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, June 15, 2024, at Sparkman Funeral Home, located at 1029 S Greenville Avenue, Richardson, Texas 75081. This celebration of life is by invitation only.
