Jose Luis Contreras, age 62, passed away November 13, 2010 in Dallas, Texas. Jose was born December 2, 1974 to Hortencia and Ricardo Contreras in Monterey, Mexico. He worked in many different professions throughout his life. As a younger man, Jose was a professional wrestler. He worked as an underwater welder on an oil rig called the Sea Lion, and was employed as a bookkeeper/accountant. Jose also worked as a dedicated D.E.A agent in the narcotics division in Mexico. Known for collecting items from different places, Jose always had a pen or a lighter from somewhere he had visited. Most of all, Jose will be remembered for the pride and joy that he felt for his beloved grandkids. Jose is survived by his wife of 40 years, Adela Contreras; sons, Jose Luis Contreras Jr. (Nikki Pitman), Ricardo Contreras (Kimberly Contreras), Mario Contreras (Angie Contreras) and Jason Contreras (Tiffany Chevallier); grandchildren, Taylor Contreras, Joey Cole “The Commander,” Joshua Wade Contreras, Adelita Rose Contreras and Magdalena Leigh Contreras; brothers, Carlos Contreras Cisneros and Armando Contreras; and sister, Eloisa Contreras.
