John "Johnny" Milburn Doster

John “Johnny” Milburn Doster entered eternal life on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the age of 61. The son of Milburn and Rosemary Lewis Doster, Johnny was born in Dallas, TX. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and the University of North Texas. John was employed by Varo Semiconductor for 22 years and Texas Instruments Incorporated for over 6 years. Johnny and his son, Shaun, were active Eagle Scouts. He served for many years as Cub and Scout Master. As an avid golfer, he spent many enjoyable hours with his friends on the links. He enjoyed traveling and driving his bright red Corvette with his wife Terry. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Terry Doster, son, Shaun Doster, sister, Ramona McCoy, brother-in-law, Jerry McCoy, along with many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends at Sparkman/Richardson Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2011. The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday in the sanctuary of St. Monica Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Rd., Dallas 75220 (Walnut Hill & Midway), Rev. Stephen W. Bierschenk, Celebrant. Johnny will be laid to rest following the Mass in Calvary Hill Mausoleum in Dallas. If desired, memorial donations should be made in Johnny’s name to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org.
