Helen Grace Clower

Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away August 21, 2010 in Dallas, TX. Helen was born to William and Bessie Shipwash on June 23, 1929 in Harriman, TN. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and other crafts, and especially enjoyed the Holidays, where she could spend time with family and friends. Helen also had a passion for travel and camping. She and her husband Jack visited all of the contiguous 48 states, as well as Alaska and Canada. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, W.G. Shipwash and William Claude “Buddy” Shipwash; and sister, Lucille Kittrell. She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Jack Clower; son, Douglas Ray Clower and wife Cindy; daughter, Mary Lou Hill; daughter, Donna Kay Counts and husband Gerald; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Katherine Sampson, and Joyce Massey and husband Gilbert; and many extended family members and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 25 from 6 to 8 pm, and Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 26 at 10:00 am at Sparkman Funeral Home.
