Gary Wayne Johnson Jr.

Gary Wayne Johnson II was born November 30, 1985 in Dallas, Texas to Gary Johnson and Brenda Freeman. He was known to family as Lil’ Gary and was truly a happy bouncing baby boy. From the time Lil’ Gary was born, he was full of energy and life. He was truly an innocent soul.

Lil’ Gary spent his days with family and friends. He loved going to the park and playing. What he loved most of all was food! His small, athletic frame belied his large appetite. On any given holiday, when the rest of the family sat around relaxing, talking, or watching a football or basketball game, Lil’ Gary could be found faithfully keeping watch over the food preparation in the kitchen. ‘Gary come out of the kitchen!’ was heard about as much as ‘Go Cowboys!’ in our house. That was Lil’ Gary!

Lil’ Gary died Friday May 24th, 2013 at 6:52am of complications from cardiac arrest brought on by seizures three days prior.

Lil’ Gary is survived by his mother and stepfather, Brenda and Derek Dickson; his father, Gary Wayne Johnson; two sisters, Breana and Deanna Johnson; stepbrother, Lamont Dickson; niece, Simone Johnson and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Rachel and William Johnson, Dorothy Freeman Neal, and Jerome Freeman Sr.
