Elliott, III, Frank Ellsworth Born July 19, 1940, to Frank Elliott, Jr. and Irene Myres Elliott, passed away on March 9, 2013, at his home among his loving family and friends. Dr. Elliott was a graduate of Southern Methodist University and Southwestern Medical School. He practiced his specialty of internal medicine at Medical City Dallas for 40 years. He was married to Marilyn Hamilton Elliott on June 21, 1979. Dr. Elliott volunteered and proudly served during the Vietnam War as the battalion surgeon for the 173rd Airborne Paratroopers. He received two Bronze Stars for valor and a Purple Heart. In recent years, he pioneered a return to house-call medical care for home-bound patients. Dr. Elliott was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was well-loved and respected by his family, friends and patients. He will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, daughters, Molly Elliott and Kris Elliott King, granddaughter Nora Hickins, and grandson, Leuan King, his sister and brother-in-law Constance and Kenneth Bushnell, 3 sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law and their spouses, many loving nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Highland Park Methodist Church on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.
