Barbara Ann Crosbie Ward

Barbara Ann Crosbie Ward, 78, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 in Richardson, TX. She was born November 20, 1934 in Beaumont, TX to the late Percy and Myrtle Crosbie. She was predeceased in death by her loving husband of more than 50 years, Byron Ward. Barbara loved her family, a good book, her garden, travel and to serve others. Barbara was an active member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, where she served on the church council. She was a respected contributor to the community, serving as President of the Richardson Women’s Club Foundation and committee member of the Friends of the Richardson Public Library. Barbara cared deeply for her country and, as such, was active in local politics where her voice contributed to the advancement of issues she felt were most important. Barbara is survived by her four children; Dale, Mark, Kathleen and David; grandchildren Matthew, Jonathan, Mack, Tricia, Andrew, Jessica, Kevin and Christina; and three great grandchildren, Maxton, Macie and Kate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to the ALS Association North Texas Chapter. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Jan 1st 6-8 pm at Sparkman Funeral Home 1029 S.
