Sarah Ruth Lex

Sarah Ruth Lex, age 86, died, peacefully in her sleep, the evening of January 3, 2013. Sarah was born October 14, 1926 in Birnamwood, WI, to Herman and Ida Uttecht, and graduated from Birnamwood High School in 1944. Sarah and William John Lex were married June, 1947 in Aniwa, WI, where they resided until moving to Rhinelander in 1951. Sarah and William had three children, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband William, in 1992, and her daughter Mary Catherine Bishop, in 2007.

Surviving Sarah are her daughter, Carol Ann Webster of Rhinelander and her son, Dennis William Lex and his wife, Jeanne (Moritz) Lex of Groton, MA, grandsons, Steven Bishop, Ron Webster, Dan Webster, James Lex, Jeffrey Lex and Jesse Lex and granddaughters, Tina Marie Bishop and Tracy Bishop Neri.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 11:00am at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home with Chaplain John Uhlarik officiating. Burial will follow at Nativity of Our Lord cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00am until the time of service. Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
