Nancy Belle Sparks, age 90, of Rhinelander, died April 13, 2012 at Milestone Senior Living with her loving son by her side. She was born December 25, 1921 in Bundy, Wisconsin to Richard and Cora (Bowman) Pence. Nancy attended grade school in Bundy and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1941 then she went on to Oneida County Normal School and graduate from University of Stevens Point in 1963. She married Joseph Eternicka, who died during WWII in 1944 and she later married Arland Sparks. Nancy taught grade school for 38 years at Lassig School, Bundy, Harrison, Parrish and Tomahawk. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her children, Jack (Jan) of Sugar Camp and Cindy (Greg) Egtvedt of Green Bay, her grandchildren, Tammy Ament, Rick Sparks, Heather Warpinski, Allison Ringblom, Tom Sparks and Brent Egtvedt and her great-grandchildren, Erin and Jared Sparks and Kayla and Kamille Ament.
She is preceded in death by both her husbands, parents and her siblings.
A funeral service will be Monday, April 16, 2012 at 11:00 A.M at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Messerli officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service starting at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Rhinelander’s Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home, 715-365-4343 is assisting the family with arrangements.
