John "Jack" Fleury

John "Jack" Fleury, age 78, died, December 18, 2013 at St. Joseph's hospital with his loving family by his side. Jack was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa. He was born February 23, 1935 to John and Edna (Wyss) Fleury in Rhinelander. Jack graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1953. He married Carol Walkowski March 8, 1958 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Jack worked for the paper mill for 45 years. He retired in 1997 having never taken a sick day. He enjoyed playing the piano and played in a jazz band in the 50's, 60's and early 70's. Jack loved spending time with his children, taking them camping, to county fairs, to the beach, and to see parades. He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden. He was an avid Packer fan, rarely missing a televised game. He also loved his dogs, Sugar and Rags.

Jack is survived by his wife, Carol, his children; Mike (Paula), Mary (Peter) Taylor, Rita Adkins, Joan (Brian) Ehmann, Betsy (Tom) Littleton and Kathy Nylund, his son-in-law, Mike Savage, a sister, MaryAnn Fleury, his grandchildren; Jamie, Aaron, Ben, Amanda, Jennifer, Adam, Jessica, John, Amy Beth, Sam, Amelia, Ashley, Hunter, Dakota, Maddie and his great-grandchildren; Amaya, Kylie, Emily, Evan, Isabella, Olivia, Josh, Levi, Cruz, Michael, Penny, Colton, Milo, Ellie and Sophie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Amy, three brothers; Raymond, James and Richard, and a nephew, Adam.

A memorial service will be Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00am at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home with Deacon Mike Harvey officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
