Trinh is survived by his wife Tran Phan; his children, Eric, Hank, Nick, Amy and Mandy Chau; his grandsons Jason, Raymond, Felix and Jeffrey Chau; and his granddaughters Naomi, Angelina, Ella Chau and Rachel Dantzler.
Trinh was born in Canton, China on March 26, 1935 to Van Chau and Tu Lam. He moved to Saigon, Vietnam to work as an electrical technician and then started an electrical equipment manufacturing company in his young age. He was a very successful businessman, well known in town for his expertise in the electrical trade. Whenever he can, he spent most of his time fund raising for charities. He had chaired for many non-profit organizations in Vietnam.
On December 9, 1991, Trinh migrated and retired to Seattle Washington. He’s always proud of his two beautiful daughters, who were the most important part of his life.
Trinh was a devoted Tai Chi hobbyist. He enjoyed playing card games and traveling oversea. He often played card games at the local casinos. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
A service is scheduled for 10AM on April 17 at Greenwood Memorial Park Funeral Home at 350 Monroe Ave NE, Renton, WA 98025. As the Covid-19 “Stay Home” policy in place, the ceremony is limited to immediate family only. We are sadly to encourage friends and relatives to NOT visit the service for compliance with the governor’s directive. Stay home, be healthy!
