Dad, This speech has been the hardest thing we’ve ever had to write. Knowing our words today are meant to honor this amazing man, it's been difficult because no amount of words could ever fully convey how loyal, genuine and compassionate Robin was. He was a loving husband, an amazing father, a proud grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to so many. He provided his family with such love and care, that he ingrained in his family the true meaning of love. He taught us that love and family are the greatest gifts. It’s the life lessons and the legacy he left behind which will forever remain a part of our spirit. 
People say he was such a simple guy and that he had simple dreams but I think it's the opposite. He dreamed big and grand and always wanted the best things, not for himself, but for the people he loved. One of the ways of showing his love was by cooking, he loved to cook, man he was an amazing cook!! Even those ‘experimental’ dinners always seemed to turn out amazing. His love for family camping trips every summer. We shared so many wonderful memories of sitting by the campfire just talking about life, laughing at all his jokes,  roasting hotdogs and marshmallows… and of course the countless years of him waiting for the perfect time...pitch black, wind starts to pick up and ocean mist coming just in the nic of time to take some new Friend that came along for the trip to be taken Snipe hunting. 
His welcoming smile and loving embrace, gentle demeanour, everyday there will be a void that no one can fill ...the void of all those jokes!!! He definitely left a legacy of all those priceless jokes behind!! As his gentle demeanour walks into the room you could always count on him to make everyone laugh. To his jokes, to him walking {down the catwalk} in to the room, doing “I am too sexy dance” in DUCK pajamas of course. He loved to make people laugh.

His Grandaughter, Mariyah would like to acknowledge a few memories…. 

​He was the best grandpa anyone could ever ask for. When I was little he would let me start from one side of the house, run, and jump into his lap with a big smile. Grandpa always wanted to make us laugh and always found a creative way to do it, like going outside to smell a lily and coming back with an orange nose just so we would smile. His generosity to help others was always a priority to him. He would always insist in helping me make my bed after washing the sheets and I never understood why.  I think everyone hates making the bed - but, he knew that, and wanted to make it easier for me so I didn’t have to do it alone. He could cheer me up with one of his endless jokes, silly face or a bowl of his world class beef stroganoff. He supported me in everything I did, from attempting to play soccer, cheerleading, bartending, taking me to my father daughter dances at school and finding a career in school and was always wanting to help with anything I needed while I learned to spread my wings. I know you are near, even if I don't see you. You are with me even if you are far away. You are in my heart, my thoughts, you are in my life, always. You were my rock, I will always remember you grandpa, because there will never be a man like you to replace you in my heart. The love I will always have for you is indescribable. I miss him so much, he was one of my best friends. I love you Grandpa! 

His beloved wife, Donna would like to say…. 

Many of you may not know that Robin was a talented poet. Early in our relationship when he was working nights bartending I would come home and find the most tender and touching love poem on my pillow, he had me with the first poem. 

I know I am suppose to tell a funny story, remenience about all our wonderful memories together; but my heart hurts and all I can think about is how much I miss him. I don't know what I miss more, his smile, his voice, his sense of humor, his charm, his wit, his arms holding me tight, holding his hand, the way he loved us, or the way he made everything better, mostly I just miss him. Robin, my mind still talks to you, my eyes still look for you, my hand still reaches for you, my soul knows you are at peace, but my heart is aching for you. This grief is love with no place to go. You will forever be my always, i will forever treasure our memories together. I know we won’t get over it, we will get through it; it doesn’t get better, it gets different; 

I'm so grateful we had an amazing life together and that we have such wonderful children and grandchildren who have been here for you and have been my rocks helping me so much with the pain, my emotions, my everything has been turned upside down. I know they say God won’t give you more than you can handle, but I am pretty sure he has the wrong woman this time.

Robin will be missed.   

I had the privilege of working with Robin for a few years when he reported to me on the Asset Management Team and I always respected him for his gentle spirit, great work ethic, and his love for his family.  He must have been a great father, since Kacey, who now reports to me on my Recruiting Team, also shares his work ethic and love of family.

I find myself struggling to put into words how fine a man Robin was. I've known him for a substantial period of time and I can say there is not a single negative thing I've ever had to say about him, or even heard from anyone else. Truly an amazing individual, and really a man's man. The type of man other men look up to. To me he was really a 'hold over' from this country's best generation.  I'm certainly better for having known him.

I knew Robin thru his wife Donna over the past 20+ years.  He, along with Donna, have the greatest senses of humor and I love(d) it.   My prayers are with you all as you are struggling with his loss during this time.  It's hard to imagine someone so large with life can be gone from this world...  Take care and know I'm thinking of you Donna each day, especially when I pass your desk at work.  Many hugs and much love to you all.

Fun, funny and informative man.  Having the pleasure to work and travel with you brings good memories. From a good joke to your quick wit you had me laughing or thinking during the time we shared.

I am sorry for your loss. My family and I send our sincerest condolences. I remember first meeting you (Donna), Robin, and your little dog in Renton while I was at the vet with mine. Robin and I frequently passed each other in the hallway while working in Lake Place 1, but did not officially meet until we were at the vet's office together. He was a kind, genuine person and will be missed by so many. I am thankful to have met him.
