Robert Orin Johnson

Robert, son of Elmer and Olga Johnson, was a World War II Veteran and joined the army in May of 1946 and served overseas in Japan. Upon discharge, Robert settled down in Seattle,WA.

Robert worked for The City of Seattle Metro and retired as as Truck Driver. He married Naomi and together they enjoyed 60 years of marriage.

Robert is survived by his son, Kenneth Johnson; daughter, Judy Johnson; daughter-in-law, Sharon Johnson; two grandsons, Brian (Lindsey) Johnson and Kevin (Erica) Johnson; and two great granddaughters, Tess and Brooklyn. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Naomi; sister, Lorraine; and cousins.

Robert was a member of the VFW Post 9430 in Skyway,Washington for 72 years as Post Tribute and a World War II Veteran. Robert enjoyed owning and working on fast and loud cars, riding motorcycles, taking road trips, camping with family and friends, fishing, playing cards, and most of all, cracking jokes. Robert enjoyed going to church, the VFW, and The Renton Senior Activity Center. Most of all, he enjoyed being with family and friends.

Viewing is being held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 2pm until 3pm.

A Memorial Service will take place at New Life Church in Renton in the North Auditorium Saturday May 4,2024 at 11:30am. Followed by a Reception at 12:30pm located at 15711 152nd Ave SE, Renton,WA, 98058.
