Nan Scheer Hall, 81, was the oldest of 11 children born to Raymond and Mary Joan (Sifferle) Scheer. She was instrumental in raising her siblings as her father was in the Navy and frequently deployed. In 1963 she married James Hall and they had three children. As a single mother in 1975, she began Nursing School and became an LPN and subsequently worked at Providence Hospital in Seattle. She was selected for the Providence LPN to RN Education Scholarship and became a registered nurse in 1987. She was medically retired in 1999.
Nan enjoyed painting, sewing, making jewelry, gardening and genealogy but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially the large holiday parties. She moved into Merrill Gardens in Renton three years ago. She loved the kind and patient staff, who she always referred to as her friends, but in truth they were more like family especially in her final days. Her family is comforted knowing that Nan is now pain-free and living with Jesus and her parents.
She is survived by her three children, Theresa Wissing, Angie (Hank) Wysong, and Joseph (Lynn) Hall; her three grandchildren, Bria, Trevor and Tyler, and siblings Larry, Phil, Mary, John, Chris, Paul, Mark, Stephen, and Jane, her Uncle Bill Sifferle as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Eric.
Funeral will be at 10 on Wednesday 2 April at St Anthony’s in Renton followed by a burial at 1215 at Greenwood Memorial Park.
