She was born on September 5, 1926 in Neosho, Missouri to Dick and Lois Price. The family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where Mary Ann attended school and graduated from Central High School in 1944. Mary Ann loved music and singing in her high school choir. She had many childhood friendships that continued throughout her life.
After high school Mary Ann took her Mother’s advice and obtained training in typing, shorthand and Dictaphone. She excelled as an executive secretary at several companies throughout her adult life.
Mary Ann married and had two children, daughter Carol Ann (1952) and son David Allen (1955). In 1965 she met and married Robert (Bob) Trask and the family moved to Renton, WA. Bob and Mary Ann built their home in the Fairwood Greens neighborhood where they have resided for 54 years.
Mary Ann taught Bible Study Fellowship for several years and they attended New Hope Presbyterian Church in Kent, WA. She was also a sales representative for Avon for several years.
Mary Ann also loved flowers. Tending her rose garden, caring for her African violets and volunteering her time at the Valley Medical Center floral shop for over 20 years.
Mary Ann and Bob also enjoyed going to the symphony and travelling. They were very active in the Wally Byam Caravan Club (Airstream Association) attending yearly fishing caravans and other outdoor adventures.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband Bob Trask, her daughter Carol Boyce, her son David Phillips, 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Her magnetic personality will be dearly missed! Like Bob often says , “If you fall into Mary Ann’s orbit you’ll be a lifelong friend”!
